Private Training

Our studios provide clients with the support of one-on-one instruction. Our instructors design programs specific to our clients' fitness needs and goals, which are determined in the introductory session. Instructors develop well-rounded routines that include toning, stretching and mild cardiovascular exercise. Each private training session is 55 minutes.

Pilates Studio at the Lake will assign one of our highly trained instructors to work with you individually so that you can reach your fitness goals and get the maximum benefit from your session. You may purchase individual 55-minutes sessions for $70 or ten sessions for $650.

Semi-Private Training

Our studios offer semi-private training where clients work out with up to four participants while still receiving quality and professional instruction. Like our private training program, participants in semi-private training will tone and stretch every muscle group, while raising their heart rate, all in one session.

Our instructors work with clients to achieve strength and tone in their hips and legs, abs and back, shoulders and arms. Each session ends with strategic stretching exercises to optimize results. Our clients leave the studio feeling stronger, taller, revitalized and renewed. Each semi-private training session is 55 minutes. Choose semi-privatessessions to work out with two to four people for a more inexpensive and social alternative to private sessions.

Group Pilates Mat Classes

Our recently-expanded studio in Davidson allows us to offer a full schedule of Mat Pilates classes! We offer all levels of Pilates Mat classes. Beginner to Advanced. All classes are taught by highly trained instructors and are kept small so you can be sure you get the personal attention you need for doing the workout with good form and proper alignment!

Private Gyrotonic™ Sessions

Members of our team are currently in the process of becoming certified to offer Gyrotonic™.

This 55-minute, one-on-one session involves gentle movements of the spine to warm up your body and prepare it to stretch and strengthen in a series of guided exercises. Gyrotonic involves the whole body. The instructor guides you through your range of motion to strengthen your muscular, skeletal, and nervous systems. Gyrotonic is a unique mind body experience. It usually creates a feeling of deep inner well-being and awareness on physical as well as spiritual levels.

Massage

Classic Swedish Massage
This massage uses gentle, gliding strokes to soften tense and sore muscles. Your therapist will customize this massage to meet your individual needs. This massage produces numerous physical benefits, balances the nervous system and promotes a feeling of well being.

Deep Tissue Massage
This therapeutic massage is perfect for those who prefer a massage that focuses on allowing tight overused muscles to lengthen, loosen and become more relaxed. This type of massage helps with chronic muscular pain and injury rehabilitation.

Neuromuscular Therapy
This massage is for those who have limited movement in their joints and muscles. Neuromuscular therapy is an absolute focus on an area with chronic pain. Using intense, deep work to release muscle and connective tissue at the root cause of the discomfort the goal is to provide relief.

A series of consecutive sessions is recommended to receive the maximum benefits from this form of massage therapy.

Reflexology
Reflexology is a nurturing yet powerful tactile therapy that stimulates the body and its systems, promoting balance, health, and vitality. It uses pressure on certain points, or reflexes, on the feet. When pressure is applied to these specific areas, a response is generated in a related part of the body, and, as a result, beneficial change occurs.

Research has shown that reflexology improves circulation, encourages healthy lymphatic flow to eliminate wastes and toxins, and provides pain relief. With reflexology, the body's own healing mechanism is given a chance to right itself and flow unimpeded. As a result many symptoms decline or disappear altogether, at the same time increasing energy flow and the body's ability to heal itself.

Esalen Massage
Esalen Massage was born on the California coast towards the end of the 1960s, near Big Sur, now a national park and wilderness by the ocean. It takes its name from a Native American tribe of healers who once inhabited the region. The presence of the sea and the rhythm of the waves is echoed in this massage technique made up of fluid and gentle movements. Using gentle massage and stretching in a secure environment, this massage relaxes and enables you to feel centered.

What makes the difference in this technique is the quality of touch - respectful and attentive to the body's signals: breath, reactions or signs of discomfort. The entire body is integrated into each movement making it truly a full body massage.

Since the end of the 1960s, Esalen has been seen as a center of development of human potential and many great therapists have been associated with it: Fritz Perls, Milton Trager, Mosche Feldenkrais, Ida Rolfe... the technique has been enriched by their polarity, acupression and sacro-cranial therapies.

Esalen technique can be incorporated into your traditional massage or a full Esalen massage can be requested.

TRX Suspension Training
Pilates Studio at the Lake recently became an affiliate of the TRX Suspension Training program, which is a Navy Seal-designed workout that will develop your core like nothing else you've ever tried. Classes are held on Thursdays from noon to 1 p.m. and you must reserve your space in advance, as only four openings are available for each class. Classes are $35 each. Hard Core Pilates
Hard Core Pilates is back by popular demand! Held from 10 to 11 a.m. each Thursday, the class incorporates the BOSU trainer, TRX Suspension Training (see above), foam roller, fitness circle and toning balls. Pre and Post Natal Pilates

Bridal Boot Camp
We've specially designed an eight-week personalized Pilates boot camp for soon-to-be-brides to shed the extra pounds before the big day! The program consists of one private session and two semi-private sessions per week for eight weeks. The Boot Camp costs $920, which is a $200 savings over services bought separately.

Sports Specific Athletic Training
If you're a cyclist, runner, swimmer or other type of athlete, you might be thinking, "Pilates?? Yeah right! Isn't that just some sort of fad workout that Hollywood celebrities do? I need a workout that's really going to challenge me." You might be surprised that this form of exercise, especially when done on specialized equipment, will do just that! In fact, elite athletes of all sports use it to help correct muscular imbalances, strengthen the entire body, prevent and rehab injuries, and improve athletic performance. Kangoo Jumps Bikini Boot Camp
Kangoo Jumps are revolutionary fitness boots that give you a full-body workout, all while you’re having fun! They are safe, easy to use and they BURN BURN BURN the calories off your body! Using the KJs for about 15 minutes a day helps reset your metabolism, which causes a higher caloric burn rate, which in turn means faster weight loss! Exercising with KJ also "energizes" the lymphatic (immune) system to work more efficiently - removing waste and toxins from the body while producing a feeling of well-being!

This class requires advance sign up (limited to just 8 people) and requires ownership of the Kangoo Jump Boots. You will also need to have Perfect Push Ups for the class, (you can get them almost anywhere, Target, Dicks, Wal-Mart, etc.).

The classes meet every Wednesday from 9 to 10 a.m. at Dance Davidson, located off of Jackson Street in Davidson.

First time clients MUST book their first session through the studio. Please do not schedule your first session online. Online scheduling is only for returning clients.

For returning clients, private and semi-private sessions are scheduled in advance by appointment only. You may book appointments online or you may call our studio to schedule your appointments.

The availablity of times and days for sessions may vary. Our classes fill up quickly. Please submit your online request or contact our studio at 704-987-8966 to reserve your desired session time. Please select your sessions carefully as we are unable to issue refunds or credits for missed sessions. Rates listed are per person. A 24-hour cancellation policy is effective for all appointments. Your consideration is appreciated.
