Carrie Jacobs, Owner and Founder
   
 
Carrie Jacobs is the owner and founder of Pilates Studio at the Lake. Carrie has been a fitness instructor for various organizations for over 10 years. She founded Pilates Studio at the Lake in 2001 after training and certifying with Stott Pilates. She attained her Bachelor of Science in Business  Management and merged her love of fitness with her desire to own her own business. Carrie maintains her enthusiasm for her work by continuing to update her skills in the Pilates Method of exercise.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Leigh-Ann Mueller, Instructor
   

Leigh-Ann Mueller began her Pilates training as a classical ballet dancer. During her 18 years of rigorous classes, rehearsals and performances, she incorporated mat and reformer exercises into her routine. She received a B.S. in dance from Butler University.

Following her dance career, she obtained an elementary teaching license and taught elementary school for five years. She also began teaching Pilates mat, yoga and other fitness classes, and coaching runners and triathletes. She is an ACE certified personal trainer and received Pilates equipment training through Stott. 


As a competitive triathlete (who has completed an Ironman event) Leigh-Ann understands the benefits that Pilates brings to athletic performance. She enjoys training athletes and exercise enthusiasts of all levels.

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Bernie Gustavsson, Instructor
   
 
A 20-year veteran of the fitness industry, Bernie Gustavsson began her career as a competitive bodybuilder. Over time, Bernie became an ACE-certified Personal Trainer and has spent years working with individuals on achieving high fitness goals.

Through her continuing education initiatives, Bernie discovered the benefits of Pilates and eventually became a certified STOTT Pilates instructor. Bernie feels Pilates is the most effective workout she's ever experienced and enjoys sharing her Pilates knowledge with clients of varying backgrounds.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Jamie Dunn , Instructor
   
 
Jamie Dunn has been active all her life. Though, it wasn't until her recovery from foot surgery that she really discovered the power of Pilates. Jamie found Pilates to be therapeutic and challenging, and the perfect complement to her running and competitive tennis practices.

Jamie earned her certification in mat instruction from the Pilates Certification Center and received formal Pilates reformer training through the acclaimed STOTT Pilates. Currently, Jamie is working to become a certified yoga instructor.

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Kristy Prevatte, Instructor
   
 
Kristy Prevatte began her Pilates training as a classical ballet dancer. While training at the Hungarian National Ballet she turned to Pilates to rehabilitate an ankle injury. As a result of the refinement and core-conditioning Pilates provides, she found her strength, flexibility and technique noticeably improved, as well as her injured ankle.

Kristy earned a Bachelor of Science in psychology and biology and is currently pursuing her Master of Arts in Christian counseling. Kristy obtained her Pilates certification through Pilates Unlimited with Karen Sanzo in Dallas, Texas. She comes to Pilates Studio at the Lake after teaching Pilates in Charleston, S.C. She finds great joy in being a part of the time her clients spend honoring themselves throughout their weeks.

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Katie Halstead, Instructor
   
 
Katie Halstead was introduced to Pilates during her college career as a dance major at Stephens College. While rehearsing she injured her back and used Pilates as her method of rehabilitation. Within weeks she was dancing again with a stronger core and more strength and flexibility than before.

After receiving her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree she began her training and was later certified in the STOTT Pilates method. Recently, she also became a certified post rehab Breast Cancer Exercise Specialist and an AFAA certified Personal Trainer.

As an avid runner Katie understands the benefits that Pilates has brought to her athletic background. She looks forward to sharing her love of Pilates with clients of varying backgrounds and levels.

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Holli Kagan, Instructor
   
 
Holli Kagan was introduced to Pilates while studying dance and performing throughout college. By adding Pilates to her rigorous dance training regimen, she was able to more easily maintain a healthy and strong physique. Holli credits Pilates for her ability to remain free of injury, as well as dramatically increasing the strength of her core. She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts, with a major in Dance, at the New World School of the Arts in Miami, Florida. After graduation, she continued to study and practice Pilates, as well as pursue her certification. Holli is also a certified Yoga instructor with the Yoga Alliance. She has been practicing Pilates & Yoga for over 10 years and has been teaching Pilates since 2003.
